WAX Block Producer Benchmarks

Block producers run their own infrastructure, so performance and billing vary. To measure that, we submit a prime-number-calculating contract during each producer's round. They execute it and report on chain how long it took (lower is better), which we then collect and chart below. Methodology and source on GitHub.

CPU Execution Time

One line per producer over time. Useful for spotting trends and regressions as infrastructure changes.

CPU Distribution

Each row is one producer. The box spans the middle 50% of their results with the median marked inside, and the whiskers reach to the typical min and max. Results far outside that range are outliers, hidden by default. Useful for comparing consistency alongside typical speed.

About this data

Token holders should not rely on EOS Mechanics benchmark results as an absolute indication of block producers' performance. Results are mainly intended for operators of Antelope and EOSIO infrastructure to have additional metrics that can aid them in testing different infrastructures, configurations and features while identifying performance differences and potential bottlenecks. These statistics are not subject to verification by other nodes on the network; therefore it is possible for block producers to manipulate them. Furthermore, running custom software or configurations may impact the measurement of these metrics.
